Major conference themes
As REIW Asia celebrated its 7th anniversary, extensive efforts were taken to create a renewed, revived and reinvented world-class programme, which offered a varied and comprehensive yet interactive format with distinctive streams and breakout roundtables. This year, REIW Asia heralded a new concept in taking on the adventures and radically refreshing antics of secret agent 007 to give the event a dimension and veracity which is unlike anything one has experienced before!
With an emphasis on ‘audience generated’ content while keeping up to date with the most compelling issues surrounding the current economic downturn, REIW Asia 2008 played host to an unprecedented speaker faculty of over 170 industry experts from across 17 countries worldwide, once again reinforcing her draw and reputation as the largest and most influential real estate investment management event in Asia.
The depth and breadth of the conference programme lined-up over four fruitful days of content cornucopia were broadened to incorporate:
- Plenary and keynote morning sessions which play host to an elite class of trusted industry voices and convention-breaking global mavericks
- Parallel afternoon streams which incorporated the primary areas of focus and topics of interest: Real estate private equity, debt markets, REITs, global powerhouses, emerging markets and sector clinics
- “Birds-of-a-feather” strategy and practice roundtables, targeted for an in-depth analysis of luxury residential, integrated resorts and hotels, mixed-use developments and property derivatives
- Specialty & Branded Real Estate pre-conference summit, dedicated to addressing hotels and the alternative hospitality sectors of serviced apartments and casino resorts as increasingly robust and high-yielding asset classes
- REIW Vietnam post-conference summit, delving into key developments, investment risks and returns within the emerging Vietnamese realty market in light of recent heightened inflation
- Pre and post masterclasses led by industry experts and practitioners, intended for a more comprehensive learning and discussion session.
The expanded conference agenda was packed with thought provoking and cutting edge content, fuelled by engaging and interactive discussions, which was extremely successful and well-received by our record-breaking 980+ strong audience.
